Body and Display:

The dimensions of the phone are 144.5 x 73.8 x 8.9 mm. It weighs about 158 grams. The phone has a IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 16M colours. Capacitive touch screens work by recognizing the electrical properties of the human body instead of pressure. But capacitive touch screens are more sensitive than resistive touch screens.

The screen size is 5.0 inches with approximately 294 ppi pixel density. The screen resolution of the phone is 720 x 1280 pixels. The touchscreen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.

It has multitouch feature also. Multitouch refers to the ability of a touch sensing surface to recognize the presence of two or more points of contact with the touch sensing surface. The constant tracking of the multiple points allows the mobile phone interface to recognize gestures, which enable advanced functionality such as pinch-to-zoom.

Memory:

The phone has a microSD card slot. The external memory can be extended up to 32GB. The internal memory of the phone is also very high. It comes with 16GB internal memory. The phone has a Random Access Memory of 1GB.

Connectivity:

Micromax Canvas 4 A210 utilizes both EDGE and GPRS technologies in order to connect to cellular networks. Wi-Fi is also available. It has the facility of Bluetooth connection and micro USB which help to connect with other hardware devices directly or indirectly.

Camera:

This phone has a 13 megapixel primary camera. The features of the camera include autofocus, LED flash, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection, HDR, panorama etc. There is a 5 MP secondary camera on the front to make video calls.

OS is an infrastructure operating component of a smartphone. It is the vital component of a smartphone as it controls all the basic operations of a smartphone. This phone comes with Android OS, v4.2.1 (Jelly Bean).

CPU, Chipset and GPU:

The CPU is Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7. The processor is the main computing component of a phone and is a major factor when it comes to the overall speed of the device. The phone comes with MTK 6589 Chipset. The GPU of the phone is PowerVR SGX544.

Sensors, Radio, GPS and Java:

The phone has sensors like Accelerometer, proximity, etc. GPS is also available with A-GPS support. Global Positioning System is a space-based satellite navigation system that provides location and time information in all weather, anywhere on or near the Earth, where there is an unobstructed line of sight to four or more GPS satellites. The phone has Stereo FM radio. Java is available with Java MIDP emulator.

Key Features:

The model is available in two colours White and Gray. It supports microSIM card. The key features of the phone include SNS integration, MP3/AAC/WMA/WAV player, MP4/WMV/H.264/H.263 player, Organizer, Document viewer, Google Search, Maps, Gmail, Youtube, Calendar, Google Talk, Voice memo/dial, Predictive text input etc.

Battery:

The phone is powered by standard Li-Ion 2000 mAh battery. The stand by time is up to 220 hours and the talk time is up to 8 hours.

Market Status:

This phone was announced on June, 2013. It was released on July, 2013.
